AERTEC socially responsible


At AERTEC we believe being socially responsible as a company. Furthermore, we approach our social responsibility positively. We know that it is our obligation to make use of the influence we have on society in order to improve what we hold in our hands.


At an internal level, we maintain a responsible policy that covers a number of different aspects, from equal opportunities to training and communication with our employees. To retain skills, it is important to create a working environment in which a person can freely develop their potential.


With regards to society, we undertake cooperation activities in developing countries, as well as being committed to the environment both in our offices and in all the projects we carry out. A commitment in which we also involve our suppliers, our clients and our employees. In fact, we encourage our employees to maintain an active and enthusiastic interest in this area, sharing and supporting their social initiatives as a measure of our possibilities. It is the responsibility of all of us to improve the world, and we will always do our part.




Our area of social action was created in 2007 from the initiative of a group of employees. Its objectives are:
  • Use our knowledge and technical resources to help development cooperation projects.
  • Promote selflessness, cultural exchange and commitment to sustainable development as part of our identity.
  • Share our principles of ethics and solidarity with the rest of society.

Actions underway:

  • "APORAGUA" Project. Water supply in Senegal For this initiative we are channelling our technical knowledge and also looking for participation from other organisations.
  • Professional voluntary work in South America.
  • Study for the construction of public housing in Angola.
  • Internships for development cooperation projects.
  • Construction manual for dams using local technology.
  • Works supervision for a dam in Kenya.
  • "Charity Euro". Each employee that takes part in the programme donates one euro per month towards the "Businesses for Education" programme of the charity "Entreculturas".
  • Collaboration in the "Donate your mobile", campaign, for environmental education projects in Spain (Red Cross) and the battle against HIV in Africa (Entreculturas).
  • Collection of toys for hospitalised children at the Malaga Children’s Maternity Hospital.
  • Charity Christmas cards.
  • Promotion of fair tradeproducts
  • Training in cooperation and humanitarian aid for our staff.


Our commitment to the environment is continually growing, one of our formulas to achieve this is the maintenance of our environmental management system, based on the ISO 14001 international guidelines. Furthermore, we are constantly trying to pass on this responsibility to our professionals, clients and suppliers.


Actions underway:

  • Reduction of consumption. We aim to get maximum benefit out of the resources we use to carry out our activities. In our case, they are electrical energy, paper and water.
  • Competition of ideas. Due to its strategic importance, environmental management has been one of the three lines of improvement of our competition of ideas. We don’t just promote and encourage collaboration amongst our professionals, we also invest in it.
  • Creation of an Environmental Best Practice Manual to encourage sustainable management of waste products.
  • Energy efficiency guarantee, Energy Star on all of our IT equipment.
  • Hiring of vehicles with a capacity no greater than 1600cc, as a means of reducing emissions for transport associated with our activities.
  • "Your saving gives life"campaign. Sponsorship of trees via the saving of paper in our offices.
  • Internal campaigns to support our commitment to the environment.
  • Continuous internal training.




The materials that we work with at AERTEC are people and their knowledge. For this reason we look after them and do everything we can to help them reach their maximum potential. Aspects such as creativity, initiative and the generation of new knowledge are what sets you apart in our sector, and this can only be achieved via motivated professionals that have the resources they need to be able to give their best.

  • Analysis of job satisfaction, with a high level of participation and very positive general satisfaction indexes.
  • Competition of ideas to encourage and value the creativity and participation of our professionals.
  • Days out and events to develop team activities.

Conciliation
  • 100% concession to demands for reduced working hours and short and long term sabbaticals.
  • Management meetings held during morning in order to assure availability of both male and female employees.
  • Flexible hours and consideration for telecommuting.
  • Support with professional development.
  • Training plans.
  • Collaboration agreements with suppliers to obtain benefits for our employees.
