New Terminal T3 Malaga Airport

The new T3, designed by architect Bruce Fairbanks, is 250,000m2 in total, with a large departure hall and L-shaped boarding pier. Its roof has 117 pyramid shaped turrets and acquires natural light thanks to a glass curtain wall, which acts as a flexible skin. The new terminal is equipped with 86 check-in desks and 20 new boarding gates. The project included new motorway accesses and a new car park.
AERTEC has been involved in the project since its outset, having carried out the following tasks:

• Main collaborator for the Gop Sener Ghesa TJV during the design and creation of the T3 construction project


• Detailed project design for all the affected services works that allow the terminals to be connected


• Creation of as-built plans


• Head of site supervision during the execution of the terminal and parking installations


• Control and supervision of compliance to environmental impact preventative and correction measures


• Project design and installation supervision for security systems
